Nestled in the heart of Imperial Japan is the mega-metropolis known as Neo Tokyo. Home to the company headquarters of Mitsuhama, Renraku and Shiawase it has blossomed into one of the largest cities in the world. Expanding by leaps and bounds since the start of the 6th world, Tokyo has increased in size by nearly 6 fold. What was originally the heart of old Tokyo has become known as the Shiawase Dome. A city unto itself, only those that work for the company or other highly influential persons make their home within the dome. A fully functional city, the dome was built in order to protect the Shiawase company and their holdings from the threat of dragons. The majority of the citizens will live and die in Neo Tokyo without ever setting foot inside the dome.

Name: Neo Tokyo
Total Population: Unknown
Estimated Total Population: 250,000,000
Total Area: 75,000 sq. km
Major Corporations: Mitsuhama Computer Technologies, Renraku Computer Systems, Shiawase Corporation, Yakashima Technologies
Minor Corporations: Ares Macrotechnology, Aztechnology, Evo Corporation, Neonet

Prefectures:

Shiawase Dome: Centered around the Imperial Palace, this large structure was constructed by order of the Emperor of Japan in 2019. Taking 30 years to fully construct it has become the home not only of the ruling family of Japan but also of the Shiawase Corporation.

Corporation Complex: Just outside of the Shiawase Dome is the small area known as the Corporation Complex. Divided into 6 regions, this area is home to the main buildings of the other 6 Mega Corporations. With 6 skyscrapers standing 1500 m tall surrounding the Dome this area governs itself.

Tokyo Prefecture: A metropolis in and of itself, the Tokyo prefecture (or Tokyo-to) is comprised of 23 wards and is home to an estimated 50 million people although only 12 million of which are registered citizens.

Chiba Prefectures: Featured in many action trideo’s the Chiba District has become one of the most iconic parts of Tokyo besides the Dome and its surrounding towers. Also known as the Entertainment District, it lumps upper class and lower class living into one area. Ruled by the Yakuza, they keep a friendly relationship with the western world, encouraging companies to shoot their films in their area.

Yamanashi Prefecture: One of the areas that Neo Tokyo expanded into the Yamanashi Prefecture has become home to the middle class citizens of the city. While many work for the corporations in one shape or another the majority of people here run local businesses.

Tama Prefecture: Comprising of perhaps the largest diversity of population the Tama Prefecture has a little bit of everything. From areas that are barely above Barren status to those of the super rich, Tama boasts one of the largest population densities of Neo Tokyo.

Yokohama Prefecture: Once a vibrant industrial area this region was struck by a massive earthquake in 2061. While the earthquake only killed 5000 confirmed residents, it destroyed many industrial sites and released toxic pollution into the air. Emperor Yasuhito has been struggling to repair the city in order to restore the guardian kami spirits to their natural state after having been corrupted by the toxic waste. To date only the port has been restored/rebuilt.

Saitaima Barrens: The largest area of Neo Tokyo belongs to the Saitaima Barrens. In here anything goes as the Yakuza and various street gangs vie for control of the area.

Kanagawa Barrens: Not as large of an area as the Saitaima Barrens, Kanagawa is no less dangerous. Many of Neo Tokyo’s black markets are found in this prefecture.
